Not so long ago when you heard the word "recycle" what came to mind for most people was the image of grabbing a big plastic bag and filling it with aluminum cans.   Soon it was realized that if we didn't start to reuse the things that we throw away there would be serious consequences  for our environment.  Now just about everything can be recycled and some of it can be turned into high fashion.

Passchal has reused over 19 tons of inner tubes!

This is how the tubes look when we collect them from tire centers.  Some of the tubes are 8 feet in diameter and can weigh up to 35lbs. The cleaning process can take up to three days of soaking in an environmentally friendly solution before we can begin to hand-make them into the Passchal  Handbag.
